*As we are know you are really good in English. You speak fluently and you even have lot of articles in English. My question is why do you think our men in Iran especially government official do not know about second language especially English which is very important and international language?

It's important for our official diplomacy but it's also important for our public diplomacy as well because we need to be able to engage with world in areas like women there is a lot of misunderstanding about the conditions of the Iranian .women

There is a lot of misunderstanding about the advances the Iranian women have made. A lot of misunderstanding and clichés or stigma about the Muslim women. This creates an atmosphere of mistrust between nations and unfortunately the media has not helped particularly the bios we see in the western media about the Iranian and the Muslim women and this is what we have to work to overcome through both the language, the language barrier is an issue but also through methods that we can employ to engage, to communicate

dialogue is very important. We need to engage in dialogue. We need to give and take in terms of many of the concepts many of the common issue, many of the challenges we are facing in Iran. Now, now that we are facing the sanctions It's very important for the international community the pressures that are imposed upon the Iranian people, upon Iranian women, upon Iranian familie

The health issues that we are facing, The economic issues that we are facing, the issues we are facing in terms of employment due to these illegal sanctions imposed by the American government on our people

It's very important to be able to engage, express ourselves and to be able to pass on these very important information. Part of it is the language issue, part of it is the public diplomacy, we need to engage in public diplomacy

I have done my best. I have an English twitter account and in addition to the Persian twitter I also tweet sometimes; I don't have much time but I try to tweet in English as well

*So as you said why is it that our senior officials don't know a second language?

They have to work more. Sometimes it's because of our educational system and sometimes it's because they need to pay more attention to this issue. they need to devote more time. But I think that's changing we are having more and more people who can communicate well in English. But it's as you

*همان‌طور که همه ما می‌دانیم شما تسلط خوبی به زبان انگلیسی دارید. به خوبی حرف می‌زنید و حتی مقاله‌هایی به این زبان دارید. سوال من این است که چرا مردان دولت، زبان دوم و به ویژه زبان انگلیسی را، که یک زبان بین‌المللی است، نمی‌دانند؟

همان‌طور که شما گفتید این مساله خیلی مهم است. به ویژه الان که کشور در شرایط تحریم به سر می‌برد، برقرار کردن دیپلماسی با کشورهای دیگر اهمیت زیادی دارد. از طرفی ما باید این را بدانیم که قدرت مدیا هم در دستان ما نیست و اتفاقاً رسانه سمت مقابل قوی‌تر است. پس در نتیجه این مسائل ما باید بتوانیم فشارهایی را که زنان، خانواده‌های ایرانی و به طور کلی مردم ایران به خاطر فشار تحمل می‌کنند به گوش سایر مردم جهان برسانیم. مشکلاتی از قبیل بیکاری، مشکلات مرتبط با دارو و امثال اینها. من خودم سعی می‌کنم این وظیفه را تا جای ممکن انجام دهم. مثلاً در اکانت توییتر خودم با اینکه فرصت کمی دارم، اما گاهی به زبان انگلیسی هم توییت می‌کنم.

*پس چرا دولتمردان زبان انگلیسی را یاد نمی‌گیرند؟

این مساله به کار بیشتر نیاز دارد. کمی هم مشکل از سیستم آموزشی ماست. آنها باید بیشتر وقت بگذارند و اهمیت این مساله را درک کنند. هرچند این روزها اوضاع کمی بهتر شده است و افراد بیشتری زبان انگلیسی را یاد گرفته‌اند. امیدواریم به مرور زمان شرایط بهتر شود.]
